County Officials Empower Farmers With Dairy Goats And Support Packages In Thangatha Ward

On behalf of H.E Governor Kawira Mwangaza, CECM Agriculture, Livestock, and Fisheries Dr. Faith Mwende alongside CECM Lands, Physical Planning, Urban Development, Housing and Public Works, Monica Kathono presided over the issuance of 32 dairy goats in Thangatha ward.
The farmers also received 32 dairy meal packages, 32 mineral blocks, dewormers, vaccines and hoof trimmers. This endeavor aims to boost dairy farming within the community while ensuring tending for the livestock.
In a collaborative effort with the ELRP project, the County Department of Agriculture encourages farmers to join Farmer Saccos, opening doors to credit facilities that will help them access vital farm inputs.
This holistic approach not only uplifts farmers but also strengthens the agricultural sector, paving way for sustainable growth and prosperity.
